RESA Ottawa

The Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) is a member-governed trade association for Home Stagers.

RESA was formed in order to support all professional real estate stagers’ also known as home stagers in North America. RESA is a portal to the home staging industry and is a source of education and business tools focusing on the needs of home stagers. Members have access to up-to-date information relative to the home staging industry, marketing support services and access to home staging continuing education providers.

Members create Chapters in their area that serve as a resource for their local real estate community.

General Information

Why does the home staging industry need RESA?

As the home staging industry continues to grow, it becomes important to move home staging from an unregulated environment. Creating acceptable practices, a code of ethics and a means in which to support home stagers benefit not only the home staging community, but the consumer as well.

RESA Canada is a Region of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) whose purpose is to educate consumers and real estate professionals on the Canadian staging industry while providing support to the Canadian members and their local chapters.

Stagers across Canada are committing to give back to their local charities in the month of November. Why November? It is Stager Awareness Month! Our goal is to give back in local communities, raising money and awareness for local charities showing the staging industry presence across Canada

helping with furniture

Since 2005 Helping With Furniture has helped set up households for more than 740 families and currently has more on a waiting list. Most of their families come to them through referrals from social agencies. They have often fled from conflict and life-threatening situations and arrive in Canada with little more than hope to sustain them. Those who can find housing often spend months with little or no furniture.

HWF is a registered charity, not affiliated with any religious or political group. They have no paid staff or offices. All cash donations go to cover expenses (gas, storage costs, insurance, etc.) They issue tax receipts for donations of $10 or more.

Furthermore, HWF keeps viable furniture and furnishings out of the landfill and recycling, reusing and re-purposing are desirable values that our RESA Ottawa chapter supports.
